Our Work / Ace Hardware
Headless commerce for helpful retail
A headless Shopify build for Ace Hardware: a custom storefront on Shopify’s commerce engine, designed to make a deep range easy to shop.

Context
Ace Hardware is known for helpful, neighbourhood service. That reputation needs to come through online as strongly as it does in store.
Challenge
A large, varied hardware catalog is hard to present well in a standard theme. The storefront needed more flexibility and speed than an off-the-shelf setup allowed.
Approach
We decoupled the frontend from Shopify, building a custom storefront for browsing and search while Shopify handles catalog, checkout and operations.
